Ree Drummond isn't one to brag, but she can't help but gush over her youngest kid's football accomplishments!
Last year Todd started as a varsity quarterback for the Pawhuska Huskies, following in his brother Bryce's footsteps. Now he's a senior, playing his last high school games and preparing to join the football team at the University of South Dakota after he graduates next year. "I couldn't be prouder of the dedication Todd has shown," Ree says. And she's not afraid to show it: On any given Friday night in the fall, you can find her in the stands ringing cowbells and cheering like mad. "What can I say?" asks Ree. "I'm a Toddâand Huskiesâfan for life!"
"On a scale of one to 10, she hits an 11," says Todd of his mom's enthusiasm. It runs in the family: Here, Ree and her mom, Gerre, holler for the home teamâwearing Huskies orange, of course.
"There is nothing more exciting and thrilling than Friday-night football games in a small town," says Ree. "There's also nothing more stressful for the mom of a quarterback than Friday night football games!"
As the crowd cheers, Todd takes a moment for a pregame prayer. "When I'm playing, I don't think about anything except what goes on between those white lines on the field, but it's so nice to know my mom supports me," he says.
